Ighalo May Leave Al Hilal, As Contract Comes To Close

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo may be leaving Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal as his contract
with the team is set to expire. Throughout the season, Ighalo has been in sensational form, scoring an impressive 43 goals and providing 7 assists in 59 matches for Al Hilal.

There have been reports indicating that Al Hilal has been eyeing a potential signing of Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain. If this move materializes, it could pave the way for Ighalo’s departure, as the club would need to create a spot in the team for the Argentine superstar.

Although no official statement has been made regarding his departure, Ighalo recently
shared a heartfelt thank-you message on his Instagram story, originally posted by his
teammate Salman Al-Faraj, which suggests that his time at Al Hilal might be coming to an
end when his contract expires on June 30, 2023.

During his tenure with Al Hilal, Ighalo played a pivotal role in the team’s success, contributing to their Premier League Championship and playing a key part in their King’s Cup and Super Lucille victories. He also showcased his remarkable talent on the European stage, emerging as the leading goal scorer in the Asian Champions League and establishing himself as one of the tournament’s top attackers.

The possibility of Ighalo leaving Al Hilal marks the end of an era for the club, and fans

Instagram story suggests the potential for a new chapter in his career, the football world eagerly anticipates an announcement from Ighalo and the club, as they look forward to the next phase of his professional journey.
