Following his side’s fascinating 2-2 draw in match week 8 fixture against Emmydinho Fc, Igamnu Fc Coach, Ajiboye Amos has blamed his team’s lack of coordination, most especially in the first half, for his team’s dropping of points in the match.
Reacting with Sports 247 after the game, Coach of Igamnu Fc expressed his frustration towards his team always having a poor start to matches, stating that lack of coordination at the back, most especially in the first half, really rattled them and kept his players down, but he commended his players for responding quickly and getting themselves back into the game and was pleased to see his side control the game thereafter.
“In the game, my boys were a little bit down to concede two early goals. In the defence, we were not coordinated enough. That is the reason why we conceeded those two quick goals from them (Emmydinho Fc). But later on, we came back and was able to get two goals in the first half to equalize the game, so it was a very good game and I give kudos to both teams.
“We have worked a lot in training about conceding early goals. But games nowadays, comes the way you don’t expect. If you watch our defenseline, we have been shuffling it, but the mistakes keep on coming. So we will keep on working on it and by the Grace of God, we will tighten things up at the back before the next game”, he stated.
Ajiboye Amos finally stated that his team will do all their possible best to come out with all three points in their next league game, as the team looks to move up the table after Saturday’s slip up against Emmydinho Fc.
