Amidst the pain of the fatal auto crash that claimed the life of Rangers star player Ifeanyi George along the Lagos-Benin Expressway on Sunday March 22, 2020.
The Management Corporation has insurance cover for all Rangers Players and officials for on and off the pitch incidents.
The Rangers General Manager, Prince Davidson Owumi stated that “While we mourn the death of our wonderful player, we assure the family that as part if our tradition and responsibility, all our players are insured and to this effect Ifeanyi George’s family receive the adequate compensation from our insurance partners, Premier Insurance Brokers Ltd’
According to Prince Owumi, “this insurance measure was put in place by His Excellency Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, in line with the Rangers policy as an International Team.
This has been the tradition in Rangers and we shall continue to maintain international standards in Rangers.
It is a painful loss to us and we urge Nigerians and all football lovers to stand with Rangers and The families of Ifeanyi George and others that died in the fatal crash, Owumi added.
Meanwhile Rangers management is in touch with members of the family for further actions.
