Players and staff of Rangers International today paid tribute to their late player, Ifeanyi George on thier way to Lagos where they play thier match day 5 fixture.
Ifeanyi George who was a key member of Rangers International last season died in a ghastly car accody on his way to Lagos after the team was disbanded for Covid-19 break.
Sports247 gathered in a tweet via the club’s official handle that the team stopped at the exact spot of the late player’s death to pay tribute.
“We stopped over at d spot (Evbobanosa) junction along Asaba-Benin road where our late attacking sensation, Ifeanyi George, breathed his last just few days to mark the first anniv of his death to observe a minute silence with prayers for the repose of his soul on our way to Lagos.”
Rangers face MFM FC at the Soccer Temple, Agege in match day 5 of the 2020/21 NPFL season.
