The goalkeeper of the tournament at the fourth edition of the NPFL La Liga U15 promises went to Katsina United’s Abubarkar Anas for his performance.
The goalkeeper who won his team the third-place title after saving a kick in the shootout shared his excitement on winning the award and also told Sports247 he wanted to help the team defend their championship title.
“I feel so so so happy for winning this award and I really appreciate it too,” Anas said.
“Before the tournament, I planned that I was going to defend this championship because last year we won it as I was there,” he added.
Anas also sent out a very short but powerful message to other young footballers like himself who still want to make it in the game.
“My message is simple if you love football just work hard and you will see the results in the end,” Anas stated.
