Former Goal keeper coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Ike Shorunmu has assured Nigerians that the present Super Eagles team will bring home laurels soon.
Ike Shorunmu had played 36 times for the national team in a space of 10 years between 1992 and 2002.
Being a guest of the Family United by Football WhatsApp platform on Saturday, the former Basel goal keeper said Nigerian fans need to be patient.
“I don’t want to compare the new and the old but if you follow the stream of new generation players, you will know they are quite different from our generation. It is a matter of patience, I am sure with patience with the team, they will work out well in the future.”
Ike Shorunmu in his playing days had stints with Shooting Stars of Ibadan, Turkish side Besiktas and in Switzerland with Basel.
