Rasheed’s performance was met with roaring applause from spectators present, including members of the Francis Aiyegbeni Boxing Gym, where he trains.
The bout lasted six rounds, but it was in the second round that Rasheed delivered the decisive blow, sending Ojukwu to the canvas.
This TKO win showcased Rasheed’s power and determination as he continued to impress in the ring.
Notably, he had already dropped his opponent in the first round, setting the tone for the fight.
For the 24-year-old Rasheed, this victory was a significant comeback after suffering a defeat to the national light-heavyweight champion, Muibi Lekan, on May 28.
In that bout, he faced a KO loss at the hands of Lekan in a match held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
Remarkably, Rasheed’s professional boxing career has been marked by explosive performances. All six of his fights have ended in knockouts, with five of them resulting in wins.
The one loss to Lekan notwithstanding, Rasheed’s record speaks of his prowess and potential in the boxing world.
In addition to the main event, other boxers showcased their skills in light-heavyweight challenge bouts. Chinedu Okeke secured a victory with a first-round knockout over Adebayo Tianiyu, demonstrating the dominance of his boxing abilities.
