Lobi Stars of Makurdi chief executive and vice-chairman, Mike Idoko has appealed for more support from Nigerians, in order to help the club win the CAF Champions League.
Ahead of Friday’s group stage draw ceremony in Cairo, Egypt, Idoko told sports247.ng that Lobi Stars are determined to do well in the elite clubs’ competition but affirmed the need for total support from all Nigerians.
Idoko also called on Nigerian’s never to lose hope on the team, which he says has experience from having played in the same money-spinning top continental competition 18 years ago.
Idoko, whose team are in Pot 4, alongside JS Sauora of Algeria, Ismaili of Egypt and Simba Lions of Tanzania, added: “Lobi Stars are determined to do well in the CAF Champions League.
“We have a strong reputation in continental football, and I am sure that our track record will speak for us after the draws on Friday.”
