The Chairman and board members as well as staff of Ikeja Divisional Football Association IDFA congratulate the management, technical crew, and players of Dannaz Football club and Dannaz Ladies Football club on the qualification of both teams for the finals of the 2022 WGB Lagos FA Cup thus qualifying to represent Lagos State at the National level.
Dannaz Fc defeated Smart City Fc on penalties 4 -2 after a goalless draw at regulation time in the semi-final while Dannaz Ladies defeated Lakeside Queens earlier by 1 – 0 in the women’s semi-final.
In a statement signed by IDFA scribe, Alaba Olaniyi the association boss, Rafiu Taiwo Alagbe described Dannaz victories in both categories as an indication that grassroots football is fasting growing in Ikeja and its environs and urged the association members to give the teams the needed support in order to come out victorious in the finals.
“Let me use this medium on behalf of Ikeja Divisional Football Association, to congratulate the Dannaz family for this historic feat. I am not surprised with their qualification to the finals because the two clubs have been consistent for many months in various football competitions.
“Once again, The DFA wishes the Dannaz teams representing the Division, best of luck in their subsequent matches,” he said.
Some of the club chairmen, managers, coaches, and football administrators have been sending congratulatory messages to Dannaz teams following their victories against their opponents since yesterday in the state FA Cup.
