Head Coach of Team Ekiti male football team,Kehinde Anjorin has confessed that he regretted that he did not apply for Super Falcons job when Nigeria Football Federation advertised Falcons coaching job.
Anjorin who qualified Team Ekiti male team for football event at the zonal elimination of National Sports Festival held in Lagos on January said he is qualified to handle Super Falcons and without fear or intimidation from any quarter.
“We need local coaches to handle senior women national team of course and if you ask me that am I qualified to handle the team ? i will say yes because I have what it takes to take the team to next level but unfortunately I did not apply for the job and by the time I knew, it,it was too late”, he lamented.
“I wont not forgive my self for such error I committed in the first place,”said Anjorin who tipped Rivers Angels Queens, Edwin Okon to be appointed as Falcons coach”.
The Ekiti born coach said had it been he was given a chance to handle falcons,he would have done wonders and ensure he qualifies Falcons for both future continental and intercontinental female football competitions.
Anjorin revealed that he had singlehandedly formed defunct Fasuba Queens in 2005 in Ado-Ekiti and won Ibrahim Mantu Female competition.
He said the likes of former captain of Confluence Queens,Kemi Famuditi and rest of others in Sunshine Queens and Delta Queens were discovered by humbled self.
People may not know me because i have not handled premier club but like I said before I have enough experience about female football. It is rather unfortunately that Nigeria Football Federation NFF preferred foreign coach than indigenous coaches, saying he would continue to engage himself in various coaching programmes and prepare himself for future national assignments.
