KG sports Academy Youth prodigy Marvelous otutu has vowed to take his chances once the opportunity comes after a sterling performance in the 1-1 draw against Heartland of Owerri in a friendly match played on Wednesday.
Marvelous who won Bronze in the 2021 and Gold in the 2022 Stephen Keshi National U17 tournament while on Loan with Excellent Academy Ughelli joined Barzo FC Owerri late October and has endeared himself into the First team with his resilience and all round play.
The 16 year old has developed into a utility player as can play in the central defence, wing back and has the natch for scoring goals when pushed into the attacking midfield role or striking position.
“I learned a lot at KG sports Academy which has helped shaped my game” he said ” My coach made me to understand the importance of playing in any position assigned which I am building on now” He added.
” I am waiting for the opportunity to get a chance to prove myself and when it comes i will grab with both hands” he said
Marvelous featured 80 minutes in the 1-1 draw against top NNL Side Heartland of Owerri . Barzo took the lead into the break before heartland drew level in the second half. The Mercurial Midfielder believes playing such high profile side helps build his confidence and desire to do more.
“It was a tough match, but our motivation was the fact that we were playing a top professional side, It has done great to my confidence and i am surely improving in my game daily”
