Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists fc Muhammed Azeez Audu has said that the three-day Preseason Friendly matches played in Gombe by his team have been worthwhile as they were able to start assessing the players outside their home ground on what to expect in the forthcoming NNL 23/24 Season.
The main purpose of embarking on the matches outside our ground is to see how good they can play away from their home ground and further expose them to an away game mentality and I can tell you that it was a good experience even though more such games are coming up said the WIkki gaffer.
Coach Azeez who praised the performance of his players added that there are still some areas needing more attention.
He commended the effort of the Interim Management Committee for organising the trip to Gombe adding that it’s a morale booster to the team which will help them to do better and bring back the Club to the Premier League.
The WIkki Tourists Tactician solicits the support of Wikki Tourists Supporters with prayers admitting that the task to bring back the club to NPFL is a collective one.
During the day of Preseason matches in Gombe, Wikki Tourists played three games against, Gombe United, Doma United, and Yarmalight FC, and all the matches ended goalless.
