The one-time Nigeria international, Marcus Abraham arrives at Estadio do Dragao following a short spell with Radomiak Radom in the Polish first division.
Marcus Abraham is very excited about the prospect of playing for FC Porto, with the forward stating that he wants to show why the club bet on him. Porto announced that they have signed the youngster on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.
Abraham joins the newly crowned Portuguese champions from fellow Primeira Liga side, Portimonense. The 22-year-old will begin the next season with Porto’s B team. Speaking on his transfer, he told Porto’s website:
“I am very excited to be part of this club. FC Porto is a good place to be and I hope to do my best here. I faced FC Porto B in the second league, so I’m very happy to be able to represent the club. I hope to have a good season.
“I’m a quality player, I intend to show it on the pitch and show why FC Porto bet on me. I will try to score more goals this season and I will always do my best for the team.”
Abraham began his professional career at Remo Academy. He traveled to Europe for the first time in 2018 when he joined Feirense and then moved to Portimonense last year. He spent the back of last season on loan at Radomiak Radom where he made eight appearances. On June 4, 2021, he made his senior international debut for Nigeria in a 1–0 loss to Cameroon.
