In an exhibition game held at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Collins Edwin SC demolished Visionaries Football Academy of Delta State 9-1.
The match which was scheduled for the assessments of players on trials with Collins Edwin SC saw a number of great performances. Among them was defensive midfielder Joseph Stephen who made his first appearance for the club in the process.
Joseph discussed his lofty plans and hopes to make the final cut of selected players.
“I see a future with the team and I see great players coming from the team as well. I plan to work with them and travel overseas to play abroad.” Joseph tells Sports247.
The youngster also shares what he feels is pivotal for young aspiring football players like himself pursuing a career in the sport.
“I feel consistency is key and being disciplined as well. And also players should always have the mindset that there is no narrow part to success. You have to pass through a stage to get to where you want to be. No shortcuts.” he concluded.
