The rise of Nigeria in world Athletics is gaining traction and is more noticeable than even and this is largely due to the fact that something is right in terms of scouting and grooming them young.
Ayomide Lawson, a teenage Sprint and triple jump athlete told Sports247 of his dreams and desire to break many standing records as they come just like Tobi Amusan did in the World Athletics Championship and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
“This season I want to jump a distance of 13m,” Ayomide said. “The National record is around 14m and I give myself two years to break it,” he added.
“I love to break records. I want to break a lot so just watch out. I just have to work harder and believe in myself. Nothing is impossible, I can even break the world record now and that will make me very very happy,” he concluded.
