The maiden edition of the Seamoriow Sports U15 League Championship presented a top final match between Super Accurate FC and SGH Sports Academy as the former emerged champions.
Both teams had earlier faced off in the first group stage game which ended 1-1 and then a 0-0 draw in the final before Super Accurate Sports FC won the penalty shootout.
“When we started we already hoped and prayed to win but we found it difficult to win. We thank the organizers for organizing this tournament. We didn’t know we will win but we always work towards it and we’re happy to win,” captain of the side, Oyeniran Fuad told Sports247.
“The first match was hampered by the water from the rain which led to their equalizer, but having a final match with them, I felt it shouldn’t be difficult since there’s no rain and we can get the better of them but it turned out so difficult,” he continued.
The skipper however felt disappointed not to win the most valuable player award but remained firm on his goal to represent the country in the future.
“I wanted to win the MVP but I didn’t and I know mine would come, the goal is to remain in this line, going fully professional and representing Nigeria one day,” he concluded.
