Nigeria Women Football League side Naija Ratels FC has cleared the air on news going around that he is interested in the becoming the Chairman of the Benue State Football Association.
Edeh, a commercial and property lawyer is a known as a sports promoter and one who has keen interests in the promotion of the game of football and recently organised the best Pre-season tournament in the history of the Nigeria Women Football League.
Speaking exclusively in one of Nigeria’s top Sports Whatsapp Group, Family United By Football (FUBF), the President of Naija Ratels Football Club denied any intention to run for the Chairmanship position of the Benue State Football Association in the nearest future, but will only do if truly necessary.
” Politics has never been my thing.” Barr Edeh told FUBF.
” The way, the manner politics is played in our country, you might end up missing the point.
” I will rather keep playing the role am playing now, because I don’t foresee myself contesting for the Chairmanship position of the Benue State Football Association.
The Abuja based Property Lawyer continues: ” Right now, I wouldn’t give that a thought, but if I feel the need and see the necessity to contest, I will give it a shot, but for now, I don’t think I am interested.
” I know I have all it takes to contest and make Benue State Football better, but I really don’t want to dabble into so many things at the same time, but will only contest if there is need to. He concluded.
