Slavia Prague winger Yira Sor has stated that he believes he can get to the level of established stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and compete for football’s top prizes.
Sor was one of the revelations of the 2021/22 Czech First League. He started the season with Baník Ostrava before transferring to Slavia in January.
The budding star netted 11 goals and assisted on 8 occasions all season. Six of his strikes came in six Europa Conference League games.
“I am someone that dreams big, and I am always confident that I can get to the very best,” Sor told Eagles tracker.
“I believe, and I think I can get to the level of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland. I am so confident and I believe in myself. Whenever I get an opportunity, I try to grab it.
“I wish to play in the Champions League, I wish someday to represent my country, and maybe win trophies. And then, maybe compete for the best player in Africa, and the Balon d’Or.”
Sor is a product of 36 Lions FC, a Lagos based football academy. The 21-year-old is a Nigeria youth international at the U-20 level.
