Ottasolo FC coach has expressed his desire to get the team promoted into the Nigeria National League, NNL, as they intensify preparations ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Nationwide League One, NLO, season Sports 247 reports.
The coach confirmed that his desire is in tandem with the primary target of the management, as they are giving him the necessary support to gain promotion from Nigeria third tier League football, NLO. into the 2nd tier, NNL in the new season.
In an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Lagos on Tuesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, after Ottasolo FC defeated NNL side, Inter Lagos 1-0 in the Lagos FA/ MultiSports Pre Season Football Competition disclosed that the team has what it takes to play in the NNL and they will do everything to gain promotion this time after coming close last season.
We have what it takes to play in the NNL, and we are very close to gaining promotion last season, we lost the play off to a very disciplined side, FC Ebiede but we are ready to go for it this season.”
” We are working on getting the team promoted from the NLO into the NNL and we know we have what it takes to get the job done with hard work, determination and discipline, and dedication.” Said coach Sallah Abiola.
The coach expressed his delight at how his team is getting into shape ahead of the next season’s challenge especially how their tactical discipline helped them to survive a second half onslaught from their opponent after Ottasolo FC took the lead in the first half.
” It was a very good game in the first half but in the second half we lost possession of the ball easily and our players failed to react to the second ball quickly but their experience showed in the way they resisted everything thrown at them by Inter Lagos” said Coach Sallah Abiola who is looking forward to injecting more quality players into the squad before the kick off of the NL0, 2024/2024 season.
” There is a room to bring in more players especially in the midfield and the attack, as you can see it’s a work in progress for us , we will continue to bring quality players that help us to achieve our goal” coach Abiola concluded.
