I Am Very Proud Of Putting Nigeria At The Top – Shahin Nouri Admits After Helping Nigeria Win Motorsport Event In Belgium

History was made at F1 in Belgium, as Shahin Nouri lifted the Nigerian flag high by winning a Motorsport event.

Nouri, who is a Swiss, but got married to a Nigerian Lady (Tatiana Moussalli) had earlier revealed in a chat with reporters, before his history-making win in the MotorSport Event in Belgium, that even though he raced under Switzerland’s flag, he had always wanted to race with the Nigerian flag, so as to promote Nigerian Sports, as well as please his relatives, wife, and Kids who are proudly fond of the West African Giants.

“I always raced under the Swiss flag. But this year I decided to race with the Nigerian flag. To promote Nigeria and to prove to the world that it is a great country. I am proud to live in Nigeria. My wife and in-laws are Nigerians. And my kids are growing up here. Pidgin is their 3rd language”.

After his Victory at the Legendary F1 track of SPA Francorchamps in Belgium, the Nigerian National Anthem was played for the first time in Nigerian history for a Motorsport victory, and Nouri, in an interview with our reporter after his historic victory, spoke about his delight towards putting Nigeria at the top in the Motorsport event.

“I am very proud of putting Nigeria at the Top, I have always wanted to promote Nigeria and to prove to the world that it is a great country”, he said.

Fans of his (Shahin Nouri) took some time out to commend and praise his efforts in not only winning the Motorsport Event in Belgium but also representing Nigeria at flying the Nigerian flag at the Big Stage.

Festus Ogueke commented, ” This is a man who is a Nigerian only by marriage, doing his best to make Nigeria great and proud without any education, tools, and skills for his enterprise provided by the Nigerian Government. But unfortunately, those whose country Nigeria is by birth and even those who have benefitted so much from the country only have derogatory, demeaning, and uncharitable words for the nation, wishing it failure and disaster from sunrise to sunset, planning and working iniquity day and night to burn down the nation, It’s a tragic shame indeed”, he concluded.

In Funmi Adewola’s view, she said, “Congratulations to this Nigerian, Nouri. He has made a record for Nigeria on the world stage. The task ahead is for all and God will use everyone willing and available to get the job done. It’s now on record, Nigerian flag and National anthem debuts on the world stage for F1”, she added.

Shahin Nouri is a Swiss but got married to a Nigerian lady, Tatiana Moussalli, the daughter of the General Managing Director (GMD) of Cool FM/Wazobia FM and TV. He has been living in Nigeria since 2003.
