He noted that the previous perception of Heartland as formidable opponents was dispelled during the match, as Dannaz Ladies outplayed them in all aspects of the game.

“And I begin to wonder, is this the almighty Heartland in quote? But today, from the game, I could see that the Heartland I used to hear, they are nothing to write home about. And we edged them on everywhere.”

Regarding the noise and complaints heard during the match, Coach Sosu dismissed the notion of home advantage, attributing the reactions to the natural emotions and passion involved in football.

He emphasized that such expressions are common and do not affect the outcome of the game.

Reflecting on Dannaz Ladies’ challenging season, Coach Sosu acknowledged the disappointment of missing out on their initial goals.

However, he emphasized that the victory would uplift the team’s spirits and serve as motivation for the future.

Despite the setbacks, winning provides a positive outlook for the team’s upcoming endeavours.

“Going forward, at least, it keeps our spirits together. It keeps the team together.

And we look at our next season, especially where we target to be this year, though we allowed it to slip off our hands.

Being a first-timer in the league, we aimed for the Super 6. But due to one or two logistics, I believe the ladies, got tired, or they got carried away.

And this top six slipped away from our hands. But I believe that today winning, will give us something to look ahead. For a better future.”

Looking ahead to future seasons, Coach Sosu highlighted the importance of managing player fatigue, especially during periods of frequent tournaments.

He outlined plans to recruit additional players for backup and implement rotation strategies to avoid overusing the squad.

This approach aims to ensure the team remains competitive and resilient throughout the season.

As Dannaz Ladies continues its journey in the league, Coach Sosu’s insights and strategies will play an important role in guiding the team towards success in future campaigns.
