I am fully in charge of Kwara United FC – Oladimeji

The Chairman of Kwara United FC, Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson has said that the operations and management of the state’s darling team is under his control and supervision, while also debunking insinuations that the team has affiliations with anybody or group.

Speaking as the Special Guest at the get-together organised by the state chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (NANPF), at the Kwara State Sports Council on Thursday, the NNL Board Director also said that the calculations that players from Minna dominated the team is untrue.

Prince Oladimeji clarified that those making the insinuations do not really know the team before laying claims to facts that are not correct.

While appreciating the concern of stakeholders towards making the team great, he said that only constructive criticism can help achieve that goal, adding that his doors, as usual, is open for advises and suggestions.

He used the opportunity to commend all those who have offered suggestions on the way forward, especially through phone calls, most of which he said, are useful towards better preparation of the team ahead of next season.

Prince Oladimeji commended the state government for its commitment and support to the team, pointing out that the commitment can only be appreciated if the team does well in the league and other competitions.

Prince Oladimeji holds the record of piloting the team from the Nigeria National League (NNL) to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) twice, and has promised to secure a Continental ticket this coming season.

He commented the players union, National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (NANPF) for the roles they are playing, especially on players welfare, promising to continue to prioritize the entitlement of players and coaches.

Prince Oladimeji added that no player in Kwara United FC is being owed salaries and bonuses, as salaries are being paid as at when due.
