Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr Sanusi Mohammed has assured Nigerians of victory in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying Group E encounter against Libya on Saturday.
The three–time African champions are preparing to pluck all three points from the Group E pacesetters.
The astute administrator believes the team are well prepared and very ready.
“They (Super Eagles) have been in camp since the beginning of the week and have the desire to do something for the nation,” Sanusi Mohammed told Sports247.ng.
The senior national team, face a crucial task as a win for them on Saturday would increase their points to six from three games.
“I am very optimistic because the Super Eagles have a good record against the Libyans. That explains the optimism.”
“We have spoken to the boys and psyched them up not to be complacent. They have assured us that they will win this game,” he added.
Nigeria will host the first leg at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday 13th October with the return leg scheduled for the 18,000-capacity Stade Taïeb Mhiri in the city of Sfax, Tunisia on Tuesday 16th October.
