Lobi Stars FC of Benue State has revealed via it’s Twitter handle how their goal keeper was attacked and injured by the head coach of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure during their pre-match build up.

In a tweet accompanying the pictures, Lobi expressed shock at the incident, although they gave no further details what transpired before the dastardly act.
“Bizzare scene in #Akure…. Our Goalkeeper, Ospino Egbe, down in serious pains after he was attacked by @SunshineFCAkure Chief Coach, Kayode Julius, before today’s rescheduled #NPFL match.” the message read on the club’s official twitter handle.
While the action of the coach has drawn condemnation from across the country, Sunshine Stars have immediately suspended the erring Coach, on the grounds of “improper conduct”.
