The Football club owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners) have asked Nigeria Muslim faithfuls to use the occasion of the Eid-el Fitr celebration to offer special prayers for peace, unity and progress of football in Nigeria.
Muslims all over the world will today observe the Eid-el Fitr celebration to mark the end of the Ramadan fast.
In a goodwill message to all the football stakeholders in Nigeria, Club owners congratulated the Muslim faithfuls for the successful completion of the holy month of the Ramadan fast and enjoined them to pray for the growth and development of football in Nigeria.
According to a statement by the Association jointly signed by the chairman Chief (Barr) Isaac Danladi and the Executive secretary Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, Club owners said it believes strongly in the efficacy of prayers to advance the progress of football being one of the strongest tools that unify the country.
The Association said it has mobilized some of its Muslim members to join other Nigerians to offer special prayers for a total revamp of the country’s Football structure.
