Hoop Dreams defeated the University of Ibadan basketball club 44-37 in the final of the Ibadan Basketball Championship to be crowned back-to-back champions.
The annual basketball championship put together by ex-ballers in the diaspora is in its 3rd year.

In the semifinal decided earlier on Saturday, Hoop Dreams defeated Showtyme basketball 59-35, while the University of Ibadan defeated Poly Ibadan41-21 to qualify for the final.
Hoop Dreams finished the group stage in second position with 5 points, having won 2 games and lost 1, while UI finished top of the same group winning all their games.
In the female category, Hoop Dreams emerged winners following their unbeaten run in the 2-day competition. Value exchange came second with 5 points, while Rising Stars and Poly Ibadan finished 3rd and 4th respectively.
The male team went home with N200,000, second-placed the University of Ibadan was rewarded with N100,000 cash prize, while Poly Ibadan and Showtyme shared equally the N50,000 3rd place cash prize.
In the female category, first-placed Hoop Dreams got N100,000, second-placed Value Exchange got N50,000, while Rising Stars and Poly Ibadan shared the 3rd place of N30,000 prize money equally.
