Hon. Onalaja Kolawole Sworn In as Sagamu LG Secretary, Pledges Commitment to Service

The Sagamu Local Government has officially sworn in Hon. Onalaja Kolawole as the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) in recognition of his leadership qualities, competence, and ability to deliver effectively on the job.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Council Secretariat, the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Odulate, described the appointment as a call to service and a test of character.

He urged the newly reappointed SLG to uphold the confidence placed in him and discharge his duties with transparency, inclusiveness, and efficiency.

“This role is not solely for the Chairman but a joint responsibility aimed at meeting the needs of our people at the grassroots,” Odulate stated.

He also expressed gratitude to the Governor for various developmental projects in the community, particularly the commencement of the Aiyepe Road project, which was promised during the election campaign.

He encouraged residents to support the administration by paying their taxes and levies promptly, ensuring the continuous delivery of democratic benefits under the ISEYA mantra.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Onalaja Kolawole appreciated the Governor and the Chairman for the opportunity to serve. He pledged his unwavering loyalty and dedication to the progress of the council.

Reacting to the development, APC leader Pa Rafiu Opaleye commended the Governor for his commitment to fair distribution of democracy dividends, particularly highlighting the commencement of the Aiyepe Road project, which houses the council secretariat
