The camp of Ogbomoso United football club was thrown into celebration yesterday, as the number one servant in Ministry of Youths and Sports Honourable Asiwaju Seun Fakorede paid a visit to the Office of Ogbomoso United Management.
The Honourable Commissioner who was received at the AA Luxury Hotel by the Chairman of the Club Hon Akinwale Akinwole Solomon Wolekanle, Adegoke Shittu Ismail The General Manager, Adetunji Stephen the Media Officer and Niyi Oyekale the Head Coach of the team in the early hour of yesterday promise that he will do everything possible to ensure that Ogbomoso United FC progresses into the elite league in the fourth coming to NLO One season. He gave kudos to the Management Board for the successful outing in the recently concluded NLO Two playoffs in Osogbo. He said despite that the team is a privately owned team they represented the State and the town excellently. He also uses the opportunity to call on other wealthy people in the state to invest in the Youth as Wolekanle has been doing, this is another way to assist the government in taking youths off the streets.
The Chairman of the Club Akinwale Akinwole appreciates the Honourable Commissioner for coming and also promise to do more for Sports in Ogbomoso and Oyo State at large. He said a catch them young competition will be sponsored by him to give room for more talent development in the town and Oyo State at large.
Ogbomoso United will today host Focus Football Academy Offa Kwara State at Nurudeen Grammar School by 2pm in a friendly game.
