The on-going grass-root football competition in Ikere- Ekiti, Ekiti state, Holumy soccer fiesta 2020 has reached its latter stages as teams go head to head for qualification into the last 8 of the tournament.
Organized in a group stage format, the tournament has reached its eight weeks as teams battle down for a spot in the next round. With just the top 2 teams in each group qualify for the next stage, the fixtures are getting tougher for every team.
Over the weekend, some interesting fixtures went down with La Galaxy playing out a 2-2 draw with Tife FC. Other matches saw Ajaye FC lose to Young Boys by 2-1 while Hood FC played a 1-1 draw with Kopec FC.
Later today, two matches will go down for week 8 fixtures with Odun memorial fc take on FO FC by 2 pm. The other match will see New Boys Fc v Lord’s Will by 4 pm. All matches will be played at the Eleyo Field, Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The Holumy soccer fiesta is a grass-root tournament organized by Olumide Cyprus to uncover talents in the state with the first season to be played through the months of January and February 2020.
