Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has hailed the impact of his former teammate Austin Ejide, saying that his qualities pushed him to the top.
Both Goalkeepers had a healthy rivalry to determine who will always be in between the sticks for the Super Eagles during their playing days, but Enyeama was always picked ahead of Ejide to execute most games for Nigeria.
Both Goalkeepers represented Nigeria at three major world Cups (2002, 2010, and 2014), and Enyeama was always picked ahead of Ejide.
Despite always being ahead of Austin Ejide during their time with the Super Eagles, the former Lille of France Shotstopper on his Twitter handle, hailed and commended the impact of Austin Ejide on his Goalkeeping development, as he admitted that Ejide pushed him to the top and made him one of the best goalkeepers in World football.
“This man (Austin Ejide) made me one of the best goalies in the world. His qualities pushed me to the world”, the 2003 and 2004 CAF Champions League winner admitted.
