Highlander Tula will on the first of the finals settle rivalry with a fellow Kaltungo LGA team All Stars FC on match day one of the finals of the Adamu Yola Tangale Unity Cup.
The battle for a slot in the quarter finals of the tournament is schedule to start on Wednesday 18th December 2019, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Stadium Kaltungo, Gombe State.
The draws was conducted in the presence of all the sixteen teams qualified across the 3 LGAs, leadership of the Referees’ Council and media men.
The chairman of the LOC admonished the teams to be of good conduct as no team will escape the hand of justice if found wanting.
“The aim of the donor is to promote peace and unity in Tangale land and nothing more. So any team that fails to manage the behaviors of its members will have itself to be blamed,” Mr. Faruk added.
Addressing questions raised by the teams, the General Co-ordinator Mr Promise Uwaeme assured teams of better performance of the Match Officials henceforth. However, he charged teams to make efforts to seek knowledge of the laws of the game.
“You can never appreciate the decisions of the Referees if you don’t know the laws yourself, plans are ground to include capacity building with regards to the Laws of the Game but you all should make efforts to increase your knowledge base in this area.”
