The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have congratulated Mallam Bola Magaji on his appointment as the Chairman of the newly created Kwara State Sports Commission.
Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the HFN Mr. Sam Ocheho praised the decision to appoint Mallam Magaji by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State and believes the former sportsman turned administrator would be “a round peg in a round hole” with progressive policies that will grow sports in the state and the mutual relationship between HFN and Kwara would continue to wax stronger.
“On behalf of the Nigeria Handball Family, I want to praise Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for appointing Mallam Bola Magaji as the Chairman of the newly created Kwara State Sports Commission,” Ocheho said.
“Mallam Magaji, a top sportsman in his hay days turned administrator is, in my opinion, the perfect round peg in a round hole and will ensure the growth of sports in the state.
I also believe that our existing relationship will be more solidified with him at helms of affairs”. Ocheho concluded
Magaji, who has decades of cognate experience as a professional athlete (winning several national and international honors as a Squash player) and stakeholder, is a household name in the country’s sports industry and has served in different capacities as a sports administrator at different levels across several sports.
