CD Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo believes that Almeria’s Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq is a top player with an amazing future in the game.
Sadiq was on target when Almeria lost 2-1 to Leganes last Wednesday with Omeruo scoring the game’s winning goal in the 95th minute.
Omeruo moved on to commend the potential of his compatriot, highlighting Umar’s clinically in front of goal.
“Sadiq is a top player, he’s a good striker who knows where the goal is,” Omeruo told Sports247.
“He takes his chances. In the game against us [Leganes] he had one chance and he converted.
“I think he is a top striker, the best player in the league last month. That’s going to tell you how good he is and very difficult to mark. I think he has an amazing future.”
Umar has 12 goals and 4 assists this season in the Spanish Segunda division for third-placed Almeria.
