Henry Onyekuru: Super Eagles Forward Joins Saudi Arabia Train

Super Eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru has joined Saudi Arabia Pro League side, Al Fayha on a two-year deal with the option of another.

“The board of directors of the Al Fayha club, headed by Dr. Tawfiq bin Saleh Al-Mudayhim, ends the procedures for purchasing the contract of Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru for a period of two seasons, with the preference for renewal for a third season,” the official statement read.

The Nigerian recently signed on a permanent basis for Turkish side Adana Demirspor following the completion of his loan from Olympiacos.

He has now put pen to paper for the Pro League side with a fee believed to be worth around €5m as per OwnGoal Nigeria.

The 26-year-old scored eight times in thirty games for Adana Demirspor on the Super Lig last season.

The sixteen-time capped Super Eagles player becomes the first Nigerian to move to the Asian country this season.

Onyekuru could be thrown immediately into action on Saturday when his team plays their opening game of the season.

They will welcome Al Khaleej in the last fixture of the day and the Nigerian could see himself in action just under 24 hours after his official announcement.
