Henry Onyekuru has decided on his future, with a number of Turkish Super Lig clubs vying for his signature. The Nigerian international who is currently on the books at Olympiacos is said to be unhappy in Greece and is set to leave the club after just one season.
Galatasaray, Adana Demirspor, Istanbul Basaksehir, and Trabzonspor have all expressed interest in the 25-year-old, but he has now agreed on personal terms with Besiktas, according to Turkish news outlet Fotomac.
The transfer will be completed when Besiktas agree on a transfer fee with Olympiacos. Onykuru is valued at €5.00m by transfermarket.com.
The former Everton man has experience playing in Turkish. He played for Galatasaray for 3 terms between 2018-2021. He scored 22 goals and 12 assists in 71 games with a yellow-red jersey and won the Super League and Turkish Cup during his time there.
Onyekuru signed with the Olympiacos from Monaco last summer for €4.5m. He made 27 appearances last season and scored just one goal. The Super Eagles forward, who has had a rough couple of years, will be trying to revitalize his career with his next move.
