Nigeria National League side Nnawi United were to take on Peace FC at the Anambra State’s Neros F.A Cup Final today June 11, but the game was later postponed, no thanks to the heavy down pour that produced a water logged Neros Stadium, Nanka, Anambra State, made to host the encounter.
The rain which was said to have started in the early hours of Saturday morning lasted till noon, hence, flooded the pitch.
The game which would have given the Anaedo Lions a chance to win thier first ever silver wear will obviously has to be rescheduled. This would have also been a compensation for the league tittle which seems to be over after a 3-1 defeat to Warri Wolves in the NNL in match day 17 in Warri.
As at the time of this report, day and time has not yet been fixed yet but according to the media department of Nnewi FC, there are indications that it will be played on Sunday June 12.
