Anyanwu admitted that the performance of the Naze Millionaires has not been up to expectations but reckoned that the players were fully focused on their encounter with the Pride of Rivers and the target is for them to secure their first league win of the season at the end of the game.
He said they got back to work immediately after they returned from their unfortunate defeat to Abia Warriors in Umuahia and that they have used the few training sessions they have had to correct some of the lapses that have been noticed.
He added that with the support and backing of their fans and loyal supporters, they have what it requires to beat Rivers United and kick start their season from there.
“We are sorry about our not-too-good start to the season. We are ready to make amends and that will start with our game against Rivers United,” Anyanwu, who has played for Enyimba, Abia Warriors, and overseas told Heartland FC Media.
