The management of NWFL Premiership side, Heartland Queens FC has sent their deepest condolences to Edo Queens FC over the death of their assistant coach, Gabriel Adejor.
Adejor died on Monday, September 21, 2020 in Benin City after a brief illness.
Heartland Queens FC chairmen, Tessy Nwoke described Adejor’s death as devastating and quite too close to a grieving time the entire football family is struggling to come to terms with the death of NWFL board member, Henrietta Ogoma Ukaigwe.
“We have lost another gem in the women league and this time around a well-refined coach in the person of coach Gabriel Adejor.
“Adejor’s death is most painful coming barely a month after a notable women football advocate and NWFL board member, Henrietta Ukaigwe was buried.
“Adejor had an impactful time with Edo Queens and his work is there for every discerning person to see.
“Heartland Queens sympathizes with Edo Queens and the immediate family. May his ever gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” said Nwoke.
