Heartland Queens football club of Owerri has stepped up preparations ahead of the South East Women football Competition (SEWFC) at the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri, Imo state.
Eleven teams from the various states in the south east has successfully entered for the tournament and all participating teams will be arriving on Sunday the 30th of July while the draw to determine the groups will hold on Monday the 31st of July.
The SEWFC opening match will be on Tuesday the 1st of August at the main bowl of the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri.
Meanwhile the Onwa babes has intensified trainings ahead of the pre season tournament in readiness for the Nigerian women football league.
Recall that Heartland Queens re-opened camp few weeks back and all players, coaching crew and staffs has resumed full operations.
Onwa babes will look to show priority when they trade tackles with familiar foes in a pulsating Oriental derby encounter.
