Heartland FC of Owerri has inaugurated her Recruitment Committee at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Vice Chairman of Imo FA, Barrister Ifeanyi Dike congratulated the Heartland family on behalf of Imo FA for rising to the challenge and returning Heartland FC to the elite division.
He showered encomiums on the Technical Adviser, Christian Obi and the team for repaying the faith reposed in them by the Management and the Honourable Commissioner for Sports by delivering the goods.
Reacting the Commissioner for Sports Hon. Emeka Okoronkwo congratulated the team and her management for making Imo people proud. He advised that the team should not be complacent but be prepared for a more challenging task in the NPFL.
The General Manager, Promise Nwachukwu was absent because he went for an official assignment with the Club owners.
The management was updated with positive developments as regards the Camp and the Transportation and Logistics department.
The Sports Commissioner then inaugurated a Recruitment Committee in order to fortify the squad ahead of the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The members of the Committee are
Chimezie Amanfor Chairman/Scouting Manager Heartland FC, Coach Obinna Obiaka, Casmir Mbachu, Chairman Imo Legends
Ndubuisi Opara, Chairman Ysfon and Imo FA, Barrister Ifeanyi Dike,
Vice Chairman Imo FA.
Coach Christian Obi gave the Committee a breakdown of the team and areas where the team needs fortification.
The Committee has 8 days to conclude her assignment , taking into cognizance that the league is expected to Commence on the 27th of August
The Commissioner also inaugurated the Administrative Committee which had Nze Tonnex Chukwu as Chairman while Barr Nkechi Anokam and Barrister Ifeanyi Dike are the members.
The Committee was mandated with the task of producing the Organogram, duties ,clear cut roles and obligations of members of the Management to ensure Professionalism and productivity.
Responding The Director of Sports Sir Ferdinand Emeana appreciated the Commissioner of Sports for fostering unity and an atmosphere of conviviality between Heartland FC and the major stakeholders like the Imo FA and the Sports Commission. He assured the club of the Commission’s resolve to work harmoniously with our darling Club.
In another related development Heartland FC of Owerri has recalled her players to start preparations for the new season.
Heartland’s General Manager Mr Promise Nwachukwu disclosed this in a chat with the Club’s media department.
“Time is a luxury we cannot afford for now,hence the need to start as soon as possible. We got here by doing the right things at the right time .which got us the right result”
Mr Nwachukwu urged Imolites to keep supporting the team as she returns to the top flight.
