20-year-old Effiong Nsungusi Jnr. has been leased from the Ghanaian premier league club Inter Allies FC to HB Køge since March. Since arriving, there have been three goals and a draft for the club.
HB Køge made an official announcement on its website that Effiong Nsungusi Jnr. has signed a four-year contract with HB Køge, which is valid until the summer of 2024.
“Effiong got off to a difficult start with the corona shutdown a few days after arriving in Denmark.”
“However, he has worked hard and has already shown himself very strongly as a player for the future, and we are really, really happy that we have agreed to continue the collaboration with a long contract. “
“Effiong has some really strong and clear core competencies, and is a player who has the potential to be able to assert himself at the highest level. Now, however, it is first and foremost a matter of ending the season well.”
“We have to work hard for the rest of the season, but we are very pleased to have this agreement in place,” says HB Køge director Per Rud.
The striker scored, among other things, in the 2-1 victory over Vejle on 30 June.
According to his agent, Mr Ojo Paul Omamomo, Nsungusi is among the talents he has had to scout alongside Samson Tijani who just signed with FC Salzburg. The agent is said to also be working with several reputable clubs in Nigeria like Blessed Stars Football Academy, Akwa United and others.
