Handsworth United Football Club are fully ready to battle Buruj FC as both teams clash tomorrow at Agidigbin Primary School, Ikeja, Lagos.
Handsworth have commenced an early preparation for Manufacturer’s Cup scheduled to hold in October at Agage Stadium.
Their match against Buruj tomorrow is part of the preparation for Handsworth FC to assess the new players recruited ahead of the annual competition.
Team Manager of Handsworth, Tajudeen Olasunkanmi told our correspondent that Buruj are not a pushover saying that his boys would approach the friendly match with all seriousness. He said they have recruited new players recently and the coach would assess them through a friendly match.
“We are aware that Buruj suffered defeat against Prince Kazeem Eletu FC recently in a friendly match but we are not playing them because they are weak but we want to play them because they always give us a good fight anytime we play them. The coach knows what to do against Buruj in tomorrow’s match and I am optimistic that we will come out victorious,” he said.
