Nigeria’s female handball under 18 team coach, Lambert Ogechi has stated delight that the 2018 National Handball Premier League at Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos has produced some new talents for the country.
Ogechi is of a view that the league has turned out to be more productive than expected, and told sports247.ng that some new players can be invited to the national team from the competition.
He admitted that some of the new discoveries will still have to be groomed to the national team’s level, but reckoned that seeing what they have been able to do with their respective clubs is a good starting point.
Ogechi told sports247.ng: “Although there are good players in my team already, we are always ready to accept new discoveries.
“As we keep seeking how to improve the national team, I must agree that being able to get new players from the league to join the national side will be great.”
