The handball federation of Nigeria (HFN) have expressed shock over the death of one of its board member, Abubakar Ahmed.
In seperate statements from the president of the federation, Sammy Ojonugwa Ochecho and the federation’s secretary-general, Alhaji Maigidasanma Mohammed, Ahmed was said to have left a vaccum in handball that will be difficult to fill.
Ahmed until his death was the chairman Kaduna state handball association and a board member of the HFN where he chaired the marketing and sponsorship committee.
Abubakar Ahmed passed on Friday after a brief illness in Kaduna.
