The hardworking player, Haggai Katoh who started the season slowly, gradually become a mainstay in the team as his combination with the fellow midfielder, Sunday Anthony in the middle of the pack for Plateau United is a delight to watch has emerged Plateau United Player of the month of April.
The former Nasarawa United midfielder who has been in scintillating form so far this season, capped his effort with a contender for goal of the season when his spectacular free-kick from thirty yards ensured all three points for the Peace boys as the defeated Sunshine Stars of Akure two-nil at the Jos International stadium in the first round of the league.
An elated Haggai Katoh who received the award, expressed gratitude to his teammates for the support and encouragement assuring that he will continue to give his best for the success of the team.
The Plateau United Player of the Month Award which was initiated by Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu shortly after assuming office as Plateau United Technical Adviser is aimed at creating an avenue for healthy competition for places in the team as well as a way of motivating the players to give their best to the collective aspirations of the team.
Previous winners of the awards are Daniel Itodo, Sunday Anthony, Ikefe Andrew, Buhari Ibrahim, Akila Jesse, Austin Opara, and goalkeeper Panshak Silas who all went home with a plaque and cash prize for their efforts.
