Haggai Sportswear CEO, Paul Maduakor has commended President Buhari’s 20th edition of the National Sports Festival which was scheduled to commence this weekend in Benin postponement as a precaution on the outbreak of CoronaVirus.
He said the postponement was in the overall interest of Nigerians and national health security.

“It is better to err on the side of caution. Therefore, we conveyed to Mr President our thought and Mr President thereafter kindly agreed that it was best for us to have this postponement.
“One of the things that we need to give attention to is the possibility of people carrying the virus even without knowing.
Over 11,000 athletes across the federation were registered to represent their different states at the biennial Games. So, in order to prevent any spread of CoronaVirus in a mass gathering like the Sports festival, the Games was inevitably postponed.
