Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that FK Bodø/Glimt is finalizing a deal for the young striker. Umar’s potential move comes on the heels of his standout performance at the recently concluded Viareggio Cup, one of the world’s premier youth football tournaments.
Hafiz Ibrahim played a pivotal role in Ojodu City’s journey to the semifinals of the tournament, where they were defeated by the eventual winners, Beyond Limits. Despite the loss, Umar’s contribution of 10 goals earned him the accolade of the competition’s top scorer.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Serie A giants Inter Milan and AC Milan among the clubs reportedly interested in the striker. However, it appears FK Bodø/Glimt is leading the race for his signature.
Hafiz Ibrahim will hope to emulate the success of former Flying Eagles striker Akor Adams, who also played for FK Bodø/Glimt before making a successful move to Ligue 1 side Montpellier last summer.
The move to Norway could be a significant step in Umar’s career, offering him the opportunity to showcase his talent on a larger stage. With his potential move to FK Bodø/Glimt, Umar could soon find himself playing in one of Europe’s top five leagues, following in the footsteps of his compatriot, Akor Adams.
