The organizers of the European tournament for academies of which Buruj Sports Academy are yearly participants have forwarded their calendar of competition for the upcoming year with adequate facilities put in place for their post-COVID competitions which as tentatively prompted the Ikorodu based club into action ahead of the season kick-off.
In lieu of this, they have now set up its school camp by getting fumigations, sanitizing facilities, and proper orientation for the students in strict adherence to safety protocols.
The president of Buruj FC, Waheed Salaudeen has taken the step in quick haste, filling up of forms, urging every parent support that has been making enrollment enquires as this is the best time to do so as they are also trying to complete paper works for students as they wait on governments go-ahead on the sport.
He explained, “we travel every year, we make sure we are 100% compliance to all laid down principles which has helped our back to back title triumph and we want to put everything in place, we urge all passionate parents to make use of our available establishment.”
A great effort has taken place to enable the youngsters to prepare for the 2020/21 season, in safe and secure conditions, with the friendly campaign already underway.
So many individuals have been involved in the whole process since the virus took hold in March and none could have foreseen the huge impact it has had on the sport.
Nonetheless, the way the academy has reacted and adapted is something everybody associated with it should be proud of. The fact that the Academy players are getting ready to be back on the pitches, doing what they love and what we love watching, is something that can never be taken for granted. It is down to the hard work and innovation of people behind the scenes that this has been made possible again.
