Ottasolo goalkeeper Korede Shodipo has claimed that Cynosure FC were ‘very tough’ opponents in the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lagos based outfit scored two minutes into the second half to claim three points in a Group A match at Sharks Stadium.
But the shot-stopper has admitted that the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) gave his team a run for their money.
“It was a very tough, intense match, in which both teams gave it everything and both had chances,” he said after the match.
“At the end what mattered was the picking three points which we picked through hard work.
Shodipo kept a clean sheet and expressed happiness with his performance in the game.
“I wanted a clean sheet after conceding in the first match against Rivers United. It is the joy of every keeper to achieve that.”
On his future, Shodipo added, “This is not what I want to discuss for now. What matters most is helping Ottasolo qualify from this tough group and we will see what happens before the season starts.”
Ottasolo are fourth with three points from two games at the 2020 Gov Wike Pre Season Tournament.
