Governor Sheriff Oborewovori Receives Presentation For Warri City Stadium Rehabilitation

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborewovori, hosted the technical head of Julius Berger, a leading engineering construction company, at his office in Asaba. The occasion was the presentation of the blueprint for the rehabilitation of the Warri City Stadium.

Governor Oborewovori reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality development projects to the people of Delta State, emphasizing that his administration would not tolerate substandard work.

“In pursuit of quality, I received a presentation from Michael Jendert, Infrastructure Engineer, and Christian Moessmar, General Manager of Primetech/Julius Berger Nig. PLC, on the Concept Design for the Rehabilitation of Warri Township Stadium,” he said.

The Warri Stadium, a multi-purpose stadium with a 20,000-seat capacity, has been in disrepair. The previous administration had awarded a contract for its renovation, but the project was revoked due to non-performance by the contractor.
